VISUAL EFFECTS SUPERVISOR: THE SUSHI TYPHOON

One of the hardest-working members of the Sushi Typhoon team, Tsuyoshi Kazuno is the Visual Effects Supervisor for all of our titles to date, and he and his team at Studio Buckhorn have worked on countless movies besides. Born in 1966, Kazuno graduated from the Animation Department of Tokyo Designer College and began his career designing title sequences for films and corporate promotional videos, before moving on to plan and produce several video games as CG and Technical Director. He has worked on many TV shows as a CG supervisor, and became a freelance VFX director in 2002, founding his own company in 2004. The titles he’s contributed to read like a best-of list of Japanese genre movies: TOKYO GORE POLICE, THE MACHINE GIRL, TAMAMI: THE BABY’S CURSE, CHANBARA BEAUTY, VAMPIRE GIRL VS. FRANKENSTEIN GIRL, TEN NIGHTS OF DREAMS, ELITE YANKEE SABURO, DEMEKING, THE ANCIENT DOGOO GIRL, THE BIG TITS DRAGON, ROBOGEISHA, GOTHIC & LOLITA PSYCHO, SHOCK LABYRINTH 3D, plus of course, every Sushi Typhoon to date. His studio’s work is constantly evolving, and he frequently works on much bigger, studio productions these days. Viewers can appreciate some of his best CG to date in the upcoming titles HELLDRIVER and KARATE ROBO ZABORGAR.
